Is Your Child Falling Behind?

Assessment

Experienced Therapists

Because I have been a Professional Speech Pathologist for 30 years I have the skills, energy and know-how to improve your child’s skills so that they can be a better adjusted and happier person.

I’ve helped literally hundreds of children regain their confidence and enjoy a more rewarding and happier future. Because I’m a member of Speech Pathology Australia (our governing body) and a Certified Practising Practitioner, this means I keep up to date with the most recent advances and I must comply with the strict standards set by our association. This means your child is in experienced, very capable hands.

While it is not possible for me to assess every single client who is seen at Braithwaite Speech and Learning Clinic, all assessments are performed by qualified speech pathologists with whom Barbara works closely.

At your child’s first appointment, to ensure we have all the relevant information we need to provide the best results for your child, the assessment involves taking some background information from you, about your child. We also perform some testing with your child in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We then give you verbal feedback on your child’s test results. A written report is provided, usually within a fortnight of your child’s assessment. If you need a report more urgently, please let us know when you make your first appointment and we will do our best to accommodate that need.
